The 80-volt system is what sets the Greenworks Pro apart from most of its competitors. While the majority of cordless mowers run on 40V or 56V platforms, Greenworks went bigger, and that extra voltage translates into noticeable cutting power, especially in thicker grass.
After a full year of regular use, the cut quality remains clean and consistent. It handles standard residential lawns without breaking a sweat, and the two-battery system means you can swap in a fresh one and keep going if the first runs out. The build quality is solid without being over-engineered, which keeps the overall weight manageable.
That said, the bagging system leaves a bit to be desired. The bag fills up quickly and doesn't always compact the clippings as tightly as you'd want, leading to more frequent stops to empty it. Mulching mode is better, and frankly, that's how most people should be running this mower anyway.
Things to Consider: The 80V platform is a double-edged sword. You get more power, but you're also locked into Greenworks' 80V battery ecosystem. If you already own 40V Greenworks tools, these batteries won't cross over. For someone building from scratch, though, the 80V system is hard to argue against, the performance gap is real.
